I have looked at some others but this one seems to be far and away the best one - and it's British!
This is the only one I post on.
Keep up the good work.

How many eJW forums do you belong to ?
by vitty ini am registered to about maybe 4 but only look at the others quickly, to see whats going on.
i usually spend my time here.. the big thing i started to notice is that it is always the same dozen or so peeps, i couldnt see the point in going from one forum to the other as they are all talking about the same thing (or poster).
so if you go regular to other forums how do you keep up with all the in fighting (which really puts me off) and the continual banter between the select few.. what do you get out of other ex jw forums that you dont get from here ?????.

Perhaps the Witto's wanted to put a 'spark' back into the preaching work.
Maybe the publisher did not have enough 'energy'. -

Feeling bad for doing normal things - SLIGHT ADULT CONTENT
by jambon1 ini was reading the article in the nov awake about musterbation (not a typo, i just hate that word & have to rephrase it)!!.
it took me back to the days as a young man who had normal feelings of a sexual nature.
new in the truth and fighting, with every fibre of my being, (at least in the beginning) against the idea of having a ham shank.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Wish I'd realised when I was young what I realise now - all I did was try and keep my parents and jehoobah happy. Big mistake.

Well I've got a black car - aggressive personality - and it's a BMW. Oh dear, no hope for me!
I've just ordered a brand new car and the colour I chose is 'rubino red' a slightly dark metallic red.

Got my KN # 37 on Sunday
by cyberdyne systems 101 ini was doing some work on my car, when this dub turns up to give me the tract.
he makes his presentation in a way that doesnt promote discussion.
unfortunately i feel slightly frustrated that i didnt ask him a few questions, ok he wouldnt have listened or would have claimed to go away and research it, but still i felt i missed a golden opportunity to give a 'witness' back.

Who Was Your Favorite School Teacher and Why?
by compound complex indear grown-up students,.
a lot of adults were influential in my formative years, but right now i'm thinking of how school teachers got me to where i am today.
it's one in particular to whom i owe the most.

My favourite teacher?
Mrs Waddington my piano teacher.
She lived in a wonderful Elizabethan house in Kent which had those fantastic old beams and low ceilings, polished wood floors and the obligatory Grandfather clock in the hallway. It was an event just turning up to her house. She must have been in her 60's and I started learning to play when I was about 6 years of age.
She sat next to me as I played and if my hands were not in the correct position (i.e. as if one was holding a tennis ball from above) she would tap my hands, sometimes quite hard(!), with a ruler - I quickly learned.
Unfortunately my parents moved to 'help where the need was greater' and my lessons lapsed. -

Shunned by an old friend
by fullofdoubtnow inin all the years i was a jw, although i had many acquaintances, i only had 3 really close friends.
two of them are no longer jws.
one is trev, who is obviously a lot more than a friend to me now, and my friend marion left the wts a few months ago, with a lot of encouragement from me.. my other friend is still very much a jw, and when i was announced as no longer a jw last year, she phoned me to tell me how very upset and disappointed she was.

Hi Linda - that must have really hurt you.
The shunning thing is mad - my mum, dad and brother haven't spoken to me for four years, but they think that if this shunning thing hurts me then I will see the error of my ways and come running back into Gods loving organisation.
Trouble is, the shunning made me really look into the org from a different, unbiased viewpoint and what I saw was a deceitful, lying organisation that I will never want a part of again. I feel sorry for those doing the shunning - if only they could see how mucht their eyes could be opened and how free they could be. . . . .
Kind regards

November 11: Remembrance Day / Veteran's Day
by Scully inpittance of time by terry kelly (music video on youtube.com ).
they fought and some died for their homeland.. they fought and some died, now it's our land.. look at his little child; there's no fear in her eyes.. could he not show respect for other dads who have died?.
take two minutes, would you mind?.

That was so moving to read Scully.
As a Witness I could neve understand why we were not allowed to wear poppies. My mum told me that it would be supporting the war effort. I thought that most of those that went to war, especially the first and second world wars would not have had any chance to make their mind up and choose 'Gods' side, so why can't we help them and their families to support them?
Anyway, this year and last year I have been wearing my poppy with pride and saying hello to the Servieman and women out in their regalia selling the poppies. -

I agree with Bacca - I visited New York for the first time in February and yes it is the greatest city in the world. We went past Bethel on a open top bus tour but that was it.
We also took in a trip to the theatre - we saw The Producers, vv funny.
Don't waste your time trooping round Bethel. Mind you we did have a tour of the United Nations building and it was interesting thinking that those naughty boys from Bethel had secretly been snooping around for years without telling any of us!
